Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® was founded on a mission of five basic tenets that have remained unchanged since the sorority’s inception. There are:
- Cultivating high scholastic and ethical standards
- Promoting unity and friendship among college women
- Studying and helping alleviate problems concerning girls and women
- Maintaining a progressive interest in college life
- Being of “Service to All Mankind”
FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT Welcome to Alpha Gamma Tau Omega Chapter! As the 2nd President of the Alpha Gamma Tau Omega Chapter, I extend a warm welcome as you explore our website. We are proud to be the first graduate and the only Greek organization of the Divine 9 to charter a chapter in the city of River Rouge, Michigan. It fills me with immense joy to share photos of our hard work, dedication, and passion shown through our activities, community service, health and wellness initiatives, all while strengthening our sisterly bonds. Alpha Gamma Tau Omega Chapter is leaving footprints throughout the River Rouge Community as we provide ‘Service to All Mankind.’ I am excited to continue the journey of service in River Rouge and the surrounding downriver communities that began with 29 extraordinary women. We will continue soaring alongside local leaders as partners to carry out our program initiatives. Thank you for visiting us.
